This is the fifth annual "Do It All Night Striper Tournament" which has proven to be one of the big events of the South Jersey fishing calendar.  This year it is shaping up to be the biggest ever.  Just as in the past years this tournament is designed for only one thing. !TO HAVE FUN !  To get out on the water and have fun fishing and competing  against other anglers to see who can prove most proficient at catching striped bass.

There will be no grand scheme to raise money for any "Worthy Cause". I do hope it will bring more avid striper fishermen into my store to see what I have to offer and give my many sponsors a chance to show their products or services to potential customers. I have carefully picked the dates for the tournament taking into account what I have found to be when there is the best volume of stripers in the area and when the tides coincide to have  the best chance for early evening and early morning high tides.  Because of this if you fish the tournament at the very least you should have a lot of action.

The format this year will be basically the same as in the past. Every angler will be registered in one of the categories and be able to weigh in two legal stripers at a Friday night weigh-in, and two more at the final weigh in Saturday morning before the 12 o'clock noon deadline.  Tom P. will be broadcasting his Rack & Fin radio show LIVE on ESPN 1450am from 9 to 10 am.  I expect to have plenty of great refreshments  supplied by local sponsors at both the Friday night and Final weigh-ins.

This year there will be Boat Division, Land Division, Women's Division and Free youth division (16 and under) for the individual anglers. There will be captain's prizes for the crew's total catch from each boat.  These will be completely explained in the rules.  I have not gotten enough entries from solo boat anglers and kayak anglers in the past so these will be included in the boat division, however solo boat fishermen will not be required to enter the captain's pool.

As mentioned above I am also going to give our younger anglers a chance to fish without putting too big a crimp in dads wallet.  There will be a FREE division for kids 16 and younger who are fishing with a registered adult. Youth Division fish will be counted towards the "Captains Pool" when they are caught on a registered boat.  The FREE division will be limited to donated prizes which I'm sure will be numerous.  However if you are in the age bracket and want to fish for the big bucks with the adults you will be permitted enter the regular division, however you will still be able to win youth division prizes.

I plan to have a variety of prizes  in order to spread the wealth somewhat and make the tournament a little more interesting.  I have planned this tournament in prime fishing time for the striped bass so everyone should be fishing anyway.  I only hope that fishing in this tournament will add to your fun.  In order to add to the prize pool I am actively seeking donations from any possible partner or sponsor especially any related to fishing bait and equipment that pertain directly to striper fishing. follow the links to the 2004, 2005 and 2006 pages to see who were supporters, I expect that all will step once again up this year.  As Sponsors join on, their donated prizes will be listed and their links will be added to all the  pages
