! It's Official !
I have formed a partnership with Capt. Dennis Wheeler, Guatemalan Fishing promoter and owner of Parlama Sport fishing and we will be shipping this 25' Carver Diesel to the "Sailfish Capital of the World", Guatemala.  It will join Parlama's fleet of economical boats to bring a reasonably priced alternative to the super battlewagons now available.   It will be fishing out of The "Marina Pez Vela" .  If everything goes right we should be fishing this boat before the end of this years high season. Capt. Dave's Latest Fishing Report ,
January 31, 2010, Again the weatherman lied, but I finally have a boat headed for Guatemala ...
It is not what my report is about but I would like to mention that yesterday local sport fishing legend Butch Friez was laid to rest  making it a sad day, and one more milestone crossed in all our fishing world.  Besides that the "Dusting" of snow that was forecast for yesterday turned into a full scale blizzard and this morning I awoke to 6 to 8 inches of white powder on the ground.  Luckily the passing of time and winter weather can't quell my optimism about my latest undertaking ...

2010 Saltwater Fishing Registration Required
Most saltwater anglers are now required to register with NOAA to fish in salt water.  This year it's free, quick and painless and will actually help get some real numbers to possibly get some real science, or maybe not.  But it might help and I'm optimistic so already signed up for both myself and my charter boat.
Do I need to register?Click Here Individual Angler Registration

Remember I will be winterizing and storing boats throughout the season so if you have tried to catch the last fish or just procrastinated and tried to ignore the inevitable I can help you. Just bring your boat by today, before the next snow storm buries your baby.
Regular hours and full line bait supply starts March 1st.

I released this Pacific Sailfish on 20 lb test 30 miles off the inlet of Istapa, Guatemala
He ate a ballyhoo behind a moldcraft softbird.  I was fishing with Rosendo on his 26' Super Panga.  There is nothing as great as catching big fish on light tackle from small boats.  Keep watching this page for information how you can make a trip like this.  Cant wait give me a call  or e-mail me HERE
