Winter Storage and Winterizing Contract

1. Winter Storage season starts October 1st and runs thru May 15th.! Important !
                    All boats must be launched by May 15th any boat remaining on the premises after May 15th will be subject to a daily fee of $20 and any boat remaining after May 30th will be subject to removal to a location of our choosing at the owners expense

2. No Boat will be hauled without a signed storage contract and work order.

3. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to hold storage space.
                    Because of the limited storage space all space is on a first come first served basis. We cannot guarantee space without a deposit and signed storage contract.

4. Full payment for storage is due before boat will be hauled.
5. All storage fees "must" be paid before any winterizing service is performed
                    All regular winterizing service fees are expected when contracted, because of the demands of the winter season we will not neglect your boat "if" you have signed a work order and "if" you have paid all applicable storage fees.

6.  Winterizing is preparing the motor and boat against winters demands
        It is not a "Tune Up" and will not change or improve the condition of the boat or motor beyond the state in which it was presented.  Please see work order for actual work to be performed during winterizing.   

8. Do it your self service work is permitted.
                    If you wish to do your own service work it will be permitted, however you must follow the guidelines below:

Do It Yourself Winterizing and Service

1.  No Power Washers Permitted on the premises ! Any bottom scraping or sanding must be collected on a tarp completely covering the ground and all residue must be disposed of off premises.

2. Anyone wishing to service their own boats while stored at Absecon Bay Sportsman Center must show proof of liability insurance. Insurance must cover liability for personal injury as well as liability for damage to any other property or person as a result of any action. This must include liability for pollution or contamination of ground or water.

3. Only actual boat owners may work on their boats. You may be assisted by friends or family, but the owner must be present when anyone is allowed access to the boats. Outside contractors may not participate in normal winterizing or make ready services.

4. Only biodegradable non-toxic antifreeze may be used to winterize engines.

5. You are responsible for disposal of all used oil, filters, and other chemicals off premises.

6. Any bottom paints must conform to current DEP standards.

7. D.I.Y.S. boats must be ready to launch when requested and owner must be present when boat is launched.

7. All necessary supplies are available at Absecon Bay Sportsman Center.

8. Anyone who desires to do specific service on their boat should indicate such on the service work order.

8. Outside contractors
                    Absecon Bay Sportsman Center offers complete winterizing and spring make ready service and in no case will any paid outside contractor be permitted to provide these services on premises. In cases where technical service is necessary we will assist you in finding qualified technicians or will gladly work with any of your choice. A current certificate of insurance must be filed before any outside contractor may work on the property.

9. Boat Launching will begin April 1st.
                    Customers wishing to launch before this date must request this before the boat is hauled.  To guarantee the possibility of early launch the boat should be hauled as late in the season as possible, preferably after December 1st.

11. All efforts will be made to have your boat available at the requested date.
                    To insure the launch of your boat an exact date should be made two weeks prior to launch. This must be re-confirmed the day before launch to establish exact times as well as tide and weather conditions. Any boat not picked up when requested will be subject to docking fees of a minimum of $20 per day.

12. Winter storage season ends May 15th.
        All boats must be launched by May 15th or a charge of $20.00 per day will be imposed. Any boat remaining after May 30th will be subject to removal at the owners expense.

13.     13.Absecon Bay Sportsman Center reserves the right to refuse to haul and store any boat
               which we believe may be unable to withstand the hauling and blocking process or that is presented in any manner which we believe indicates that the bo is not likely to be launched as required by this contract.  This decision can be made anytime before the boat is actually put on blocks.

14.    14.  No boat will be launched or allowed to leave the premises by any means with any outstanding bills.
